Gary R. Kunkle, 60, of Belle Vernon, formerly of New Kensington, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012.

Born June 5, 1951, in New Kensington, to Robert Lee Kunkle, of Fox Lake, Ill., and the late Joan Dorothy Malone Kunkle (who died Jan. 6, 2011),
he was a 1969 graduate of Valley High School and a resident of New Kensington until moving to Belle Vernon about 12 years ago. Mr. Kunkle was a road-master for CSX Transportation, Conrail and Penn Central Railroads for 40 years.

A Freemason, he was a member of the Monroeville Masonic Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Allene M. Gustafson Kunkle;
children, Tammi S. (Alfonso) Santucci, of Lower Burrell,
Kary A. (Alex) Domian, of New Kensington,
Kristy J. (Randy) Bordonaro, of Arnold,
and Gary R. (Jennifer) Kunkle Jr., of Akron, Ohio;

Randy Jr. and Katherine A. Bordonaro
and Liam and Noel Domian;
and siblings, Terry A. (Jill) Kunkle, of Jacksonville, Fla.,

Kimberly G. (Chris) McLaughlin, of Round Lake Beach, Ill., and Lisa J. (Dennis) Beatty, of Spring Grove, Ill.

Viewing will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD.,

Monday by the Rev. Dean Ward, Pastor of the River, a Community Church.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.

Improvements, changes

Lots can happen in a couple of years. When I first started this blog to get the info out to my Imm family, the history was 'as I knew it to be'. Things change.. People change.. The frame of our genealogy listings has changed. More information leads to the changes, Death leads to those changes as well as Births.
Hopefully, we can keep up with the older generations, but we need the present generation to keep us aprised of new happenings.. Just sayin'

PA OBITUARY:"Fred G Imm of 336 West Pine Street, a worker in the Standard Company's plant in East Canonsburg, was fatally injured when an automobile turned turtle Sunday evening at a point near Beallsville, died Thursday evening at 7:35 in the City Hospital, Washington.Different accounts of the accident have been published, but it appears that the correct version is as follows:Mr Imm in company with Mr and Mrs Harry Hugus and child of New Kensington, and Mrs Elizabeth Stewart and four year old son and George Vlochas of this place were the other occupants of the car. The accident occurred at a turn in the road about one and a half miles from Beallsville when the machine turned turtle. The parties were on their way home from Charleroi. Mr Imm was caught under the machine and the base of his skull crushed. He was brought to the home of his parents......... where he received the best of nursing and medical skill. On Wednesday morning he was taken to the City Hospital, Washington , where he died Thursday evening.Mr Imm was born in England 39 years ago, but came to this country when he was four years old. Twenty two years of this life were spent in New Kensington. About a year and a half ago he removed with his parents to Canonsburg.Mr Imm enlisted in the US Navy in 1906 and remained in the service 4 1/2 years. Most of the time he was stationed in the Philippines.Mr Imm is survived by his father and mother, Mr and Mrs George Imm of 336 West Pike Street and by the following sisters: Mrs George Reynolds and Mrs Samuel Reynolds of New Kensington, Mrs William McCalister of Tarentum. Willavene A. "Billie" Ross Imm, 92, of 243 Richie Ave., Weirton, W. Va, formerly of Tarentum, died Thursday (Aug. 8, 1996) in her home. She was born May 21, 1904, in Tarentum. Mrs. Imm was a resident director at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W. Va., before retiring in 1970. Before that, she was a bookkepper at the former Bowers Supply Co. in Weirton. She was a member of Cove United Presbyterian Church in Weirton, where she was a Sunday school teacher and pianist. Survivors include three daughters, Corine Ferguson, with whom she made her home, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Nichols, and Mrs. James (Dana) Hanna, all of Weirton; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Imm, in 1950; a grandson; and her parents, Theodore K. and Minnie Bricker Ross. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cove United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Terry Stoops officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be private. Graduated from Slippery Rock College. attended Penn State University. He taught at the Corapolis High School for about 12 years and coached football there during the 1930s. He then went to work for US Steel in Waukegan Illinois in the wire plant.. He later transferred to the USS Cuyahoga Works near Cleveland where he was the personnel manager.
He died of a heart attack in Nov 1968 at the age of 63.

Born in Lydney,Gloucester, England, Feb 16,1877, Albert E Imm of 511 Ridge Avenue died Wednesday morning at 11:50am in Sheridan Nursing Home at Mars. He was 74. Mr Imm came to the United States with his parents in 1883 and lived in McKeesport until 1895 when he established residence in the local area. For 39 years he was employed by the American Sheet an Tin Plate Company and was retired when the mill was dismantled several years ago.
Mr Imm had been a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church since 1896 and was always active in local church and civic affairs.
His survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Baumann and one son, F.Charles of Lakewood, OH. Seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. William McAllister of Tarentum. Friends are being received at the Frank L Hankey and Son Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Rd, where services will be held Saturday at 2:30pm with the Rev. R. Vincent Hartman officiating. Interment will be made in Union Cemetery.

Albert was a tin mill roller by trade, and worked as church janitor at Trinity.

Elizabeth Frances Harris Imm, 90, died December 3, 1939 at the home of SE Reynolds. She was born August 13, 1849 in Ayleburton Gloucestershire England, daughter of Walter Barrow and Elizabeth Poyner Harris.
When she and her husband and family came to the United States in 1882 (certified records say 1882), they settled in McKeesport PA, and then in 1893 came to New Kensington, Westmoreland County.
She married George William Edwin Imm August 3, 1872. He died October 29, 1919 in Canonsburg PA.
Both are buried at the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg PA.

He was a construction worker for Thomas Pieza Construction in Lower Burrell. He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his brother, Ken, and fishing with his boys, who were his life. OBITUARY:"BLAST VICTIM DIES OF BURNS"One of two men critically burned in an explosion July 12 at the Aluminum Co of America powder plant in Logan's Ferry died yesterday morning. Fred (Ted) Imm, 47, of 132 Voskamp Ave, Logans Ferry Heights, Plum, the father of six children, passed away at 3:40 in Citizens General Hospital.Mr Imm, along with James Keesey, 56, of Gilpin Township, was burned when an explosion ripped one of the plant buildings housing three ball-mills.Improvement has been noted in the condition of Keesey. He is in satisfactory condition in the New Kensington hospital.Imm suffered second and third degree burns over 90% of his body and Keesey over 50%.The men were operating a mixing machine used for grinding aluminum products into powder for use in paint and jet propulsion fuel.ALCOA officials have not determined the cause of the blast.Mr Imm was born Oct 18,1917, in New Kensington to Mrs Aida Davis Imm of New Kensington and the late Edwin O Imm. He lived in the New Kensington area all his life.A member of the Manchester Reformed Presbyterian Church, Upper Burrell Township, he also belonged to the Logan's Ferry Sportsmen's Club, Local 302 United Steel Workers of America of which he was chairman, and was an Army veteran of WWII.Graduated by New Kensington High School where he was active in sports, Mr Imm attended West Liberty College in West Virginia and Mercer College in Macon , GA. In later years he played on the Creighton Tigers football team.He was a ball-mill operator at the Logans Ferry plant. Mr Imm would have observed 25 years of service with ALCOA next January. Before being transferred to the Logans Ferry facility, he was employed at the New Kensington and Arnold plants.Surviving are his widow, Mrs Regina Thiel Imm; six sons: Thomas F, 16;Dennis M, 14; Ronald L, 11; twins Daniel J and Donald F, 7; and Fred, 2, all at home.four brothers: Harry and Calvin, both of Logans Ferry; George of Upper Burrell; and Robert of New Kensington.Five sisters: Mrs Jacob (Viola) Shank, Mrs Elizabeth Malone, and Mrs Wilbert (Ruth) Schantz, all of New Kensington; Mrs Camiel (Dorothy) Stocker of Chicago; and Mrs Donald (Mary Jane) Yockman of Lower Burrell.Friends are being received in Richard G Chruchfield (successor to Ronald T Hankey) Funeral Home, 501 5th Avenue,New Kensington, where a service will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday. Charles W Schantz, 66, of West Mifflin, formerly of Lower Burrell died Saturday April 14, 2007 at Jefferson Regional Health Center Pittsburgh.He was born November 23, 1940 in Logans Ferry, Plum Boro to the late Wilbert T "Whip" and Ruth Olive Imm Schantz and was a 1958 graduate of Plum High School. In 1962 he earned a Bachelors degree in mathematics from Geneva college in Beaver County. He taught mathematics at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Ebensburg and later at Tarentum Junior High School.After his teaching career, he was an independent contractor employed by various companies as a computer programmer analyst. He retired in 2003 from Wesco Distribution in Pittsburgh.An avid Pittsburgh Pirate, Steeler, and Pe3nguin fan, he also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and vacationing at Disney World in Orlando.

Wilbert T. "Whip" Schantz, 91, of Bayberry Court, Lower Burrell, died Sunday (Jan. 2, 2005) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
Born Aug. 22, 1913, in Lawrenceville, he lived in New Kensington and Lower Burrell since 1936 and moved to Bayberry Court 18 months ago.
Mr. Schantz played second base and was a pitcher for the Pittsburgh City Championships in 1927.
He was a foreman in the remelt department of Alcoa, New Kensington, for 34 years before retiring in 1970. He also worked part-time delivering pianos for the former Cooper Brothers Music Store in New Kensington.
Mr. Schantz was a member of Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church, New Kensington, and the Alcoa 25-Year Club.
He enjoyed writing and listening to music, especially Christmas music, fishing, taking trips to Disney World, camping, playing cards and bingo, eating out at restaurants, and was an avid Steelers and Pirate fan.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas (Irene) Schantz of Wheaton, Ill., Charles Schantz of Lower Burrell and Kevin (Mary Lou) Schantz of Holland, Pa.; four daughters, Doris (Jay) Courdriet and Elaine Schantz, both of Brackenridge, Lois (Frank) Bakewell of Lower Burrell, and Linda (John) Brem of Allegheny Township; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth O. Imm Schantz, in 1998; a daughter, Janet Hrivnak; his parents, Otto and Theresa Kosloski Schantz; three brothers, John, Lawrence and Otto Schantz; and two sisters, Irene Evans and Wilma Black.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the ROSS G. After 1941, he was employed by the PA Compensation and Rating Bureau of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Insurance Co for the mining industry. He retired in 1970.Mr Landis was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Tyrian Lodge of F&AM, and Dennis A Reeser Royal Arch, all of New Kensington. During the game Saturday with the Union team he was on the side lines in uniform and ready to play, and would have been substituted had the occasion arisen."Eddie", as he is known to his friends, retired Saturday night apparently in good health, and nothing was known of his death until his younger brother tried to awaken him yesterday morning.Imms played quarterback for the lower borough team during the entire game with the Arnold outfit a little over a week ago, his work being of a high caliber, and he hung up the last count of the game when he carried the ball across for a touchdown late in the game.The death of Imms was due to a kidney ailment and was not the result of any football injuries."

As per Bob Imm, "Our dad was camera shy and disliked having his picture taken. He was bald and almost always had a 'railroaders cap' on his head..even indoors.When he and Aida married, they lived for a while at Grandma Davis' home at 844 Third Ave, New Kensington , and attended the Salvation Army for a few years. They bought the Logan's Ferry home from the Vos Camps who were wealthy, lived on the North Side (Allegheny City) of Pittsburgh and had some kind of business there. This house was their summer home, thus the reason for a porch the full length of the front plus half of the side along the road. Edwin lived there 25 years:1918-1943, and Aida lived there 57 years: 1918-1975, and as such, should probably be called the family home. ALL of the children lived there, but not all children were born there."
Worked in the tin mill as a roller. A hard worker. Later worked for the Plum Township School District in the Logan's Ferry school where he did janitorial service.
Edwin was called "Lefty" by most people. He was about 5'4", tall and somewhat round belly. He smoked Cutty Pipe tobacco in home-rolled cigarettes. Occasionally he smoked Prince Albert and other pipe tobaccos in a corncob pipe and other pipes. He sniffed Copenhagen snuff to make himself sneeze because he had a moderate asthma. Occasionally, he slept in a black leather rocker by the bay window in the living room so he could breathe easier. He liked some drinks once in a while; mostly home brew and whiskey. He enjoyed singing, especially barbershop harmony.
Lefty could do almost any home handicraft. He soled his children's shoes with slices of automobile tires and leather belting. The soles never wore out. He could do woodwork; he made several chains from a solid piece of walnut. Lefty had very good gardens and fruit trees. He planted corn, tomatoes, carrots, beans , cabbage for homemade sauerkraut, potatoes, lettuce, turnips, rutabagas, onions,etc.The fruit trees included sweet and sour cherries, purple and white grapes, pears, Baldwin and winter apples, red currants, mulberries, and peaches. There was asparagus, horseradish, watercress, and rhubarb. He had a cider press and apple chopper that made both cider and vinegar. Homemade wine, peach brandy, dandelion wine were among the brews. He made ice cream by hand and bottled his own Hires root beer and put the bottles in the sun each day to ferment. Of course, many blew up!
Lefty had a left handed scythe to cut grass (hay). He was a disciplinarian with his children. He was a solid Republican, but thought FDR was the greatest person alive..he was ready to fight if you said a bad word about FDR... "A Democrat, and the only good Democrat". He measured a person's wealth by the number of friends he had.. He was the wealthiest man to have lived.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday at West Mendon United Methodist Church with pastor Ward Pierce officiating.The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Logans Ferry, daughter of the late Edwin Osman and Aida Viola Davis Imm. She spent most of her life in Logans Ferry and Lower Burrell, but spent the last few years in Springdale. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo, watching the Steelers and Pirates, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Manchester Reformed Presbyterian Church in Upper Burrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William "Butch" Kremer Sr., in 1957, and Donald Eugene Yockman, in 1977; daughter, Carol E. Townsend; son, William Kremer Jr.; granddaughter, Michelle Chippeaux; brothers, Edwin, Frederick "Ted", George and Harry Imm; and sisters, Elizabeth Malone Landis, Aida "Toots" Shank and Ruth Schantz. Calvin K. "Babe" Imm, 85, of Logans Ferry, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh. He was born May 22, 1924, in New Kensington, a son of the late Edwin Osman and Aida Viola Davis Imm. He was born and raised in Logans Ferry and lived there all of his life. He worked for PPG in Springdale as a batch cooker and researcher. He also had a unique talent for being known as the best hardwood floor finisher in the area. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, Plum Senior Citizen Center, Plum Borough and was a former member of the Moose, New Kensington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Klems Imm, who died in September 2002; four brothers, Edwin, Harry, George and Fred "Ted" Imm; and four sisters, Aida "Toots" Shank, Elizabeth Landis, Ruth Schantz and Mary Jane Yockman. He is survived by his five children, Kenneth (Ginnie) Dyer Imm, of New Kensington, Barbara (David) Grabowski, of New Kensington, Joseph W. (Rosann A.) Robert Charles Imm Sr., 81, of New Kensington, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010. Born Sept. 24, 1929, in New Kensington, to the late Edwin Osman Imm Sr. and Aida Viola Davis Imm, he grew up in the Logans Ferry section of Plum and was a 1947 graduate of Plum High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering from Penn State and, later, his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Imm was a member of the Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, the Plum Creek Free and Accepted Masons and ACRE, a real estate society. He owned several businesses including a music store in New Kensington many years ago, was a certified professional engineer (CPE) and worked more than 25 years as a research engineer for US Steel. A professional musician in his younger years, he played with the Artie Arnell Orchestra. Robert was an avid Penn State, Pitt and Steelers fan. He organized and led his high school reunions at Plum High School. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Salisbury Imm; children, the Rev. Robert Charles (Jane) Imm Jr., of Georgetown, Md., Jeffrey Mark (Karen) Imm, of Olney, Md., Scott Gordon (Pattie) Imm, of McGrann, and Melissa Marie (Michael) Peterson, of New Kensington; grandchildren, Robert Scott, Christopher, Stephanie, Sara, Bethany, Philip and Camria; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Lucas and Julian; his sister, Dorothy Audrey Stocker, of Chicago; numerous nieces and nephews and several close friends; and his beloved pets, Cammie and Kiwi. Just for the record, today was the annual Imm family reunion. I'd post pictures if I had any.. well, duh.. I never even got the camera out of the case! But I did enjoy going around talking to my cousins and relatives... seeing the growth of the family and then the food was wonderful!
Just before I left, one of the cousins came to me and asked if I would organize next year's reunion program. She gave me the small wad of bills and a notebook to keep track of purchases.. and then I was told that the reunion would be held at the same picnic grounds next year.
I could decide on the games, raffles, and foods to be served.. sort of. I agreed.
OK.. Imm family reunion 2010 will be August 7th at the LFUPC campgrounds.. BE THERE.

Elizabeth Frances Harris Imm, 90, died December 3, 1939 at the home of SE Reynolds. She was born August 13, 1849 in Ayleburton Gloucestershire England, daughter of Walter Barrow and Elizabeth Poyner Harris.
When she and her husband and family came to the United States in 1882 (certified records say 1882), they settled in McKeesport PA, and then in 1893 came to New Kensington, Westmoreland County.
She married George William Edwin Imm August 3, 1872. He died October 29, 1919 in Canonsburg PA.
Both are buried at the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg PA.

OBITUARY:
"Fred G Imm of 336 West Pine Street, a worker in the Standard Company's plant in East Canonsburg, was fatally injured when an automobile turned turtle Sunday evening at a point near Beallsville, died Thursday evening at 7:35 in the City Hospital, Washington.
Different accounts of the accident have been published, but it appears that the correct version is as follows:
Mr Imm in company with Mr and Mrs Harry Hugus and child of New Kensington, and Mrs Elizabeth Stewart and four year old son and George Vlochas of this place were the other occupants of the car. The accident occurred at a turn in the road about one and a half miles from Beallsville when the machine turned turtle. The parties were on their way home from Charleroi. Mr Imm was caught under the machine and the base of his skull crushed. He was brought to the home of his parents......... where he received the best of nursing and medical skill. On Wednesday morning he was taken to the City Hospital, Washington , where he died Thursday evening.
Mr Imm was born in England 39 years ago, but came to this country when he was four years old. Twenty two years of this life were spent in New Kensington. About a year and a half ago he removed with his parents to Canonsburg.
Mr Imm enlisted in the US Navy in 1906 and remained in the service 4 1/2 years. Most of the time he was stationed in the Philippines.
Mr Imm is survived by his father and mother, Mr and Mrs George Imm of 336 West Pike Street and by the following sisters: Mrs George Reynolds and Mrs Samuel Reynolds of New Kensington, Mrs William McCalister of Tarentum. Mrs George Vlochas, Mrs Thomas Lewis, Jr, and Mrs Elizabeth Stewart of Canonsburg; also by the following brothers : Albert and Edwin of New Kensington, and William of Chicago.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of the parents, 336 Pike Street. The interment will be made in Oak Spring Cemetery".

"Adeliza Imm, later Goulding, was something of a local celebrity. She sang soprano and participated in various musical festivals. She led what was locally known as the Goulding choir made up of her and her husband Joshua, 6 sons, and 4 grandsons. One of those grandsons was my father, Les Goulding who remembers Ada very well. This choir made up a large section of the church choir of St Marys, Lydney. I have some newspaper cuttings about Ada written about her and Joshua's golden wedding anniversary in 1920, and upon her death in 1935."

As per B I, "Our dad was camera shy and disliked having his picture taken. He was bald and almost always had a 'railroaders cap' on his head..even indoors.
When he and Aida married, they lived for a while at Grandma Davis' home at 844 Third Ave, New Kensington , and attended the Salvation Army for a few years. They bought the Logan's Ferry home from the Vos Camps who were wealthy, lived on the North Side (Allegheny City) of Pittsburgh and had some kind of business there. This house was their summer home, thus the reason for a porch the full length of the front plus half of the side along the road. Edwin lived there 25 years:1918-1943, and Aida lived there 57 years: 1918-1975, and as such, should probably be called the family home. ALL of the children lived there, but not all children were born there."

Worked in the tin mill as a roller. A hard worker. Later worked for the Plum Township School District in the Logan's Ferry school where he did janitorial service.

Edwin was called "Lefty" by most people. He was about 5'4", tall and somewhat round belly. He smoked Cutty Pipe tobacco in home-rolled cigarettes. Occasionally he smoked Prince Albert and other pipe tobaccos in a corncob pipe and other pipes. He sniffed Copenhagen snuff to make himself sneeze because he had a moderate asthma. Occasionally, he slept in a black leather rocker by the bay window in the living room so he could breathe easier. He liked some drinks once in a while; mostly home brew and whiskey. He enjoyed singing, especially barbershop harmony.

Lefty could do almost any home handicraft. He soled his children's shoes with slices of automobile tires and leather belting. The soles never wore out. He could do woodwork; he made several chains from a solid piece of walnut. Lefty had very good gardens and fruit trees. He planted corn, tomatoes, carrots, beans , cabbage for homemade sauerkraut, potatoes, lettuce, turnips, rutabagas, onions,etc.
The fruit trees included sweet and sour cherries, purple and white grapes, pears, Baldwin and winter apples, red currants, mulberries, and peaches. There was asparagus, horseradish, watercress, and rhubarb. He had a cider press and apple chopper that made both cider and vinegar. Homemade wine, peach brandy, dandelion wine were among the brews. He made ice cream by hand and bottled his own Hires root beer and put the bottles in the sun each day to ferment. Of course, many blew up!

Lefty had a left handed scythe to cut grass (hay). He was a disciplinarian with his children. He was a solid Republican, but thought FDR was the greatest person alive..he was ready to fight if you said a bad word about FDR... "A Democrat, and the only good Democrat". He measured a person's wealth by the number of friends he had.. He was the wealthiest man to have lived.

Died of ruptured appendix.
Was an herbalist.

"Parnassus HS Gridder Found Dead Yesterday
Edwin Imms, Jr , son of Mr and Mrs Edwin Imms of Logans Ferry, was found dead in bed at his home Sunday morning.
Imms was 16 years old and a junior at the Parnassus High school. He was substitute quarterback on the Parnassus football team this season ,and was a player of ability.
The death of Imms shocked the many friends who knew him. During the game Saturday with the Union team he was on the side lines in uniform and ready to play, and would have been substituted had the occasion arisen.
"Eddie", as he is known to his friends, retired Saturday night apparently in good health, and nothing was known of his death until his younger brother tried to awaken him yesterday morning.
Imms played quarterback for the lower borough team during the entire game with the Arnold outfit a little over a week ago, his work being of a high caliber, and he hung up the last count of the game when he carried the ball across for a touchdown late in the game.
The death of Imms was due to a kidney ailment and was not the result of any football injuries."

Born in Lydney,Gloucester, England, Feb 16,1877, Albert E Imm of 511 Ridge Avenue died Wednesday morning at 11:50am in Sheridan Nursing Home at Mars. He was 74. Mr Imm came to the United States with his parents in 1883 and lived in McKeesport until 1895 when he established residence in the local area. For 39 years he was employed by the American Sheet an Tin Plate Company and was retired when the mill was dismantled several years ago.
Mr Imm had been a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church since 1896 and was always active in local church and civic affairs.
His survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Baumann and one son, F.Charles of Lakewood, OH. Seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. William McAllister of Tarentum. Friends are being received at the Frank L Hankey and Son Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Rd, where services will be held Saturday at 2:30pm with the Rev. R. Vincent Hartman officiating. Interment will be made in Union Cemetery.

Albert was a tin mill roller by trade, and worked as church janitor at Trinity.

"Mrs Catherine E J Reynolds, 70, who has been a resident of New Kensington since the town was founded, died at 1:30pm Saturday afternoon in her home, 517 Ridge Avenue, following a long illness.
Mrs Reynolds came to America with her family when she was 10 years old. She lived in McKeesport for several years before moving here. Although invalided for the past 15 years, Mrs Reynolds kept up her affiliation with the Trinity Reformed Church.
Mr and Mrs Reynolds celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan 12, 1940.
She is survived by her husband Geroge P Reynolds; by four daughters: Mrs Myrtle Whitehead of 338 Fifth Avenue, Mrs Grace Hugus of 264 Freeport Road, Mrs Lillian Magee of 517 Ridge Avenue, and Mrs Elsie Nickless of Norwalk, Conn; by three sons: Albert Reynolds of Arizona, Ralph Reynolds of Portersville, and Edwin Reynolds of Philadelphia; by three sisters: Mrs Samuel Reynolds of 336 Fifth Avenue, Mrs Lillian McAllister of Tarentum, and Mrs Charles Baker of Charleroi; by three brothers: Albert Imm of 511 Ridge Avenue, Edwin Imm of Logans Ferry, and William Imm of Michigan; by 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from her late home tomorrow at 2 o'clock. The Rev R Vincent Hartman will officiate, and burial will follow in Union Cemetery."
