Robert Charles Imm, Sr., 81, of New Kensington, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Born September 24, 1929 in New Kensington to the late Edwin Osman Imm Sr. and Aida Viola Davis Imm, he grew up in the Logans Ferry section of Plum and was a 1947 graduate of Plum High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Penn State, and later, his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Imm was a member of the Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, the Plum Creek Free & Accepted Masons, and ACRE, a real estate society. He owned several businesses including a music store in New Kensington, many years ago, was a Certified Professional Engineer (CPE), and worked over 25 years as a Research Engineer for US Steel. A professional musician in his younger years, he played with the Artie Arnell Orchestra. Robert was an avid Penn State, Pitt and Steeler fan. He organized and led his high school reunions at Plum High School. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Salisbury Imm; children, Rev. Robert Charles (Jane) Imm, Jr. of Georgetown, MD, Jeffrey Mark (Karen) Imm of Olney, MD, Scott Gordon (Pattie) Imm of McGrann and Melissa Marie (Michael) Peterson of New Kensington; grandchildren, Robert Scott, Christopher, Stephanie, Sara, Bethany, Philip and Camria; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Lucas and Julian; his sister, Dorothy Audrey Stocker of Chicago; numerous nieces and nephews and several close friends; and his beloved pets, Cammie and Kiwi. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Harry Edward Imm, Edwin Osman Imm Jr., Aida Viola “Toots” Shank, Elizabeth Frances Landis, George William Imm, Ruth Olive Schantz, Frederick “Ted” Imm, Mary Jane Yockman and Calvin Kenneth Imm. Calvin K. "Babe" Imm, 85, of Logans Ferry, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh.
He was born May 22, 1924, in New Kensington, a son of the late Edwin Osman and Aida Viola Davis Imm.
He was born and raised in Logans Ferry and lived there all of his life.
He worked for PPG in Springdale as a batch cooker and researcher.
He also had a unique talent for being known as the best hardwood floor finisher in the area.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, Plum Senior Citizen Center, Plum Borough and was a former member of the Moose, New Kensington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Klems Imm, who died in September 2002;
four brothers, Edwin, Harry, George and Fred "Ted" Imm;
and four sisters, Aida "Toots" Shank, Elizabeth Landis, Ruth Schantz and Mary Jane Yockman.
He is survived by his five children, Kenneth (Ginnie) Dyer Imm, of New Kensington, Barbara (David) Grabowski, of New Kensington, Joseph W. (Rosann A.) Janicki Imm, of Natrona, James (Betty Ann) Pezzana Imm, of Lower Burrell, and Maureen (Paul) Wheeler, of Plum Borough; 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren;
brother, Robert (Mary Ann) Imm, of New Kensington; sister, Dorothy Stocker, of Chicago, Ill;
and also survived by numerous close friends from the Plum Senior Citizen Center.
 
Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday only and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, a service oriented funeral home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068, 724-337-3325.
Prayers of transfer will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, with Father Alan Grote as celebrant.
Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.

Sandra Quarles Viegas

Sandra L. Viegas, 62, of Springdale, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, in Golden Living Center, Oakmont. She was born June 2, 1951, in New Kensington, to Dolores Shank Quarles and the late Ernest Quarles Jr. Sandra worked for and retired from Highmark as a quality control specialist and had been a lifelong resident of the Valley. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, amusement parks, cooking and baking but especially loved her family and grandchildren. Sandy was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Cheswick Congregation. In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Thomas M. Viegas; children, Erin (James) Wilczek, of New Kensington, Julia Viegas, of Apollo, Mark (Melanie) Viegas, of Vandergrift, and Kelly (Chris) Relihan, of Mars; siblings, Candace (Mike) Marsh-Hanlon, of Harmar, Randy (Veronica) Monaco, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jeffrey (Levi) Quarles, of Florida, and Kelly (Joe) McKenna, of Cheswick; three grandchildren, Timothy, Devon and Tammy Viegas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest; one brother; and two nephews. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, in the CHARLES B. Sarah Imm Humbles



Sarah Humbles, 47, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014. She was a native of Virginia, where she worked as a manager in retail. She was a member of Hornsbyville Baptist Church and was also a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant.

Sarah was preceded in rest by her father, Edwin Imm, Sr., brother, Harry Mack Imm, brother, Edwin Imm Jr., maternal grandparents, Mack and Louise Todd, and paternal grandparents, Jeannie Erb and Harry Imm.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, James "Jimmy" Humbles; mother, Nellie Imm; daughters, Rachel Vanpelt and husband Gary and Danielle Humbles, all of Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren, Sharline Vanpelt, Phoebe Buhl, Jose "J.D." Romero IV, James Vanpelt, Gabryel Jackson and Arabella Jackson; brother, Terry Wheeler and wife Bobbie; and sister, Dawn Imm Fishburn and husband Michael.

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Charles Jones at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. The family will be receiving friends and family at the home of Danielle Humbles after the service.

Doris Coudriet obituary

Doris J. Coudriet, 74, of Tarentum, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, in UPMC St. Margaret, Aspinwall. She was born Nov. 25, 1939, in New Kensington, daughter of the late Wilbert Thomas and Ruth Imm Schantz. Doris was employed as a secretary by Erie Family Life Insurance Company with the Riznick-O'Niel Agency in Arnold for 33 years. She enjoyed puzzles, playing bingo, spending time with all her friends and giving freely of her time to the Lord with her wonderful church family. She was the grandma of all grandmas. Doris was a member of Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church, where she was a past deacon, Sunday school teacher and elder. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Jay L. Coudriet; a brother, Charles Schantz; and a sister, Janet Hrivnak. She is survived by her son, Jay Lynn Coudriet, of New Kensington; brothers, Thomas (Irene) Schantz, of Wheaton, Ill., and Kevin (Mary Lou) Schantz, of Holland, Pa.; sisters, Elaine Schantz, of Tarentum, Lois (Frank) Bakewell, of L'Anse, Mich., and Linda (John) Brem, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
