William Kremer Jr.Upper Burrell
William Kremer Jr., 51, of Upper Burrell died Friday (Oct. 18, 2002) in Alle-Kiski Medical Center (formerly Allegheny Valley Hospital), Harrison. Born May 29, 1951, in New Kensington, he lived in Upper Burrell since 1974. He was a 1969 graduate of Burrell High School, Lower Burrell. An Army veteran, he served in Japan from 1971 to 1973. Mr. Kremer was a millwright for 28 years at Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge Works, retiring in 2000 due to illness. A musician, he played the guitar. He also enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary Emma Kutchenreiter Kremer; three sons, William (Charla) Kremer III of Lower Burrell, and Donald Joseph "D.J." Kremer and Michael David Kremer, both of Upper Burrell; three daughters, Mary Elena Kremer, Sherry Ann Kremer and Kathleen Marie Kremer, all of Upper Burrell; his mother, Mary Jane Imm Kremer Yockman of Springdale; a sister, Irene Devilbliss of Michigan; and five stepsisters, Mrs. Judy (Tom) Gross of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Donna (Earl) Chapeau of Florida, Mrs. Jean (Harold) Dice of New Kensington, Mrs. Rose (Joseph) Hughes of Michigan and Mrs. Shirley (Chet) Dash of Indiana. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Nico Kremer, and twins Micaela and Nevin Crawford. He was preceded in death by his father, William Kremer Sr., and a sister, Carol Townsend. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday until services at 9 p.m. at the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., a family-owned and -operated funeral home, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Officiating will be the Rev. Vincent J. Scavo, pastor of Manchester Reformed Presbyterian Church, Upper Burrell. Burial will be private.
