OBITUARY:"Parnassus HS Gridder Found Dead YesterdayEdwin Imms, Jr , son of Mr and Mrs Edwin Imms of Logans Ferry, was found dead in bed at his home Sunday morning.Imms was 16 years old and a junior at the Parnassus High school. He was substitute quarterback on the Parnassus football team this season ,and was a player of ability.The death of Imms shocked the many friends who knew him. During the game Saturday with the Union team he was on the side lines in uniform and ready to play, and would have been substituted had the occasion arisen."Eddie", as he is known to his friends, retired Saturday night apparently in good health, and nothing was known of his death until his younger brother tried to awaken him yesterday morning.Imms played quarterback for the lower borough team during the entire game with the Arnold outfit a little over a week ago, his work being of a high caliber, and he hung up the last count of the game when he carried the ball across for a touchdown late in the game.The death of Imms was due to a kidney ailment and was not the result of any football injuries."
