Edwin Osman Imm
Edwin Osman Imm Sr, 60, of Grafton,VA,formerly of New Kensington, died Friday (November 6,1998) at the VA Medical Center, Hampton VA.Born Nov 6, 1938 in New Kensington, he was a peninsula resident for the past 36 years. Mr. Imm was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a meat cutter at Great Value Supermarket, Suffolk,VA. Mr Imm was a member of the Hornsbyville Baptist Church and former youth director and deacon at York Baptist Temple, both in Grafton.Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Nellie T. Imm; a son, Edwin O. Imm Jr of Grafton; two daughters, Mrs. James A (Sarah) Humbles of Newport News, VA, and Dawn Imm Howes of Yorktown,VA; five grandchildren; his mother, Jeanie Scott Erb of Lower Burrell; and two sisters, Jeannie Toney of New Kensington, and Madeleine Dailey of Clarksville, TN.He was preceded in death by his father, Harry M Imm. Friends will be received from 7-8pm Sunday in the Amory Funeral Home, Inc,Grafton. A funeral service will be at 1pm Monday in the Amory Funeral Home chapel, Grafton, with the Rev. Hughey G.Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the VA Hospital, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton,VA,23667.
